The argument over whether or not fish can feel pain has been a long running one between Animal Welfare groups and Anglers. However, scientists have drawn a conclusion. They have admitted that fish DO in fact feel pain. They also found that fish show reactions when exposed to harmful substances.
So we can no longer hide behind that argument.
Not only to fish feel pain, but when they are killed, they are dragged from their aquatic environment, and left to suffocate.

Some fish are farmed meaning they are crowded into tiny enclosures of the sea, they are fed other fish. They are forced to live in their own poo (which eventually filters out into the ocean. One Tonne of fish will produce an equivalent of 200 - 300 people's worth of excrement), the live in diseases and aid the blossoming of sealice. The fish stay here until there is a sufficient amount, then they are raised up into the air, and left to suffocate to death. Their eyes bulge from the change in pressure.

Other fish are caught using fishing boats. Sailors have specially equipped boats that scoop up hundreds of thousands of fish in nets. In fact in 2001, fishermen brought in over 92 Million tonnes of fish from the ocean. Many fish species are almost extinct, yet they will not stop all the time there is a demand for fish.
EVERY YEAR 300,000 DOLPHINS AND WHALES ARE KILLED AS BY-CATCH!
STOP PRETENDING THAT THIS IS NOT HAPPENING!
It is not too late to start saving lives.
