There must be an awful lot of slaughter houses on the go to keep up with all that, well there's not, there's not even half enough which is why hundreds of thousands of the animlas die every week, not stunned, or a quick slice to throat, they die slowly and painfully due to negligence in the understaffed slaughter houses.
In March 2000 a total of 582 licensed slaughter houses were operating in the UK.
